KPTEffects Filters
KPT Channel Surfing
Users can apply blur, contrast, and sharpen effects to any or all of the RGB, Hue, Luminance, or Saturation
channels. Users can also customize these effects based on the values of the other channels.
KPT Fluid
KPT Fluid treats an image as if it were floating on a pool of liquid. Users can click and drag in the Preview
window to add liquid distortion effects to images and to create short animations. They also have control over
the thickness of the liquid, and the size and speed of the brush stroke. Users can also use a pressure-sensitive
tablet for even more control over the effects.
KPT FraxFlame II
Users can create beautiful fractal flames with this powerful plug-in filter. Fractal flames create ethereal effects,
like crystal clouds. KPT FraxFlame made its debut in the KPT 5 collectionóKPT FraxFlame II includes an
improved rendering engine and more navigation controls, which gives users the flexibility to create a virtually
limitless array of fractal flame images.
KPT Gradient Lab
This plug-in filter allows users to create complex gradients, or color blends. Users can control aspects of color
and create multiple gradient layers to add even more detail to their color blends. As well, KPT Gradient Lab
includes two new color sampling tools, providing users with even more options and control.
KPT Hyper Tiling
Users can create complex tiling effects with KPT Hyper Tiling. They can choose from Pinch or Vortex styles,
or from geometrical shapes, including Cylinder, Sphere and Cube. They can also transform them through
four-dimensional space.
KPT Ink Dropper
Users can create the effect of a liquid dropped on a piece of glass with KPT Ink Dropper. They can add
drops of ink to surfaces to create anything from water spots or stains, to smoky swirls.
KPT Lightning
KPT Lightning allows users to create realistic lightning effects. Users can control every aspect of the lightning
bolt, such as its color, the number of forks, and its path. Users can set attractor and generator points to create
more realistic lightning bolts or surrealistic balls of energy.
KPT Pyramid Paint
Users can change their images into beautiful works of art using KPT Pyramid Paint. This plug-in filter
reduces and separates the colors of the source image, creating the effect of a painting. The source image is
also converted to the Lab color space, allowing users to perform device-independent color correction and
manipulation.
KPT Scatter
KPT Scatter is a two-dimensional particle distribution engine. Users can import one particle, or a 5 x 5 grid of
particles, and distribute them across the source image to create complex patterns and textures. Users have
control over particle placement (grid, spiral, random), particle properties (density, size, opacity), and color
(hue, luminance, saturation).
